MIchael - Kim is beginning a grad program in the fall and has been studying furiously for an exam in which she has to translate an essay from Spanish to English. Sid's not so worried about Spanish (or exams).
MIchael - There are Crape (or Crepe) Myrtles all over Richmond. I am finding them, and their relationship to the city as a kind of organism, overwhelmingly interesting right now. They are my new tower (but not my new Gary Coleman).
MIchael - We went with George to the Jesus for President book our at the Tabernacle Baptist Church. Soulmobile, from Frostburg, played during the break.
MIchael - Robert (the new Michael at the Visual Arts Center and an excellent cook) is working on a project and needed some help with shooting images. Payment came by way of a NY Strip.
MIchael - Our apartment is surrounded by spiders, and I have been meaning to call Charles for a couple of weeks now.
MIchael - There are quite a few varieties of Crepe Myrtles. Unless color's the key, I'm not sure how you tell them apart.
MIchael - George is moving on... to Prague, to teach photography to unsuspecting Slovaks. There was a farewell barbecue for him today at Adam's house in Montrose Heights. It's difficult and more than a little sad to think of this city without him.
Kate - chopping oregano for the tofurkey sausage stew that angie and i made to be served with adrianne's rosemary canellini cherry tomato salad. uhn.

Jesse - the beginning of many mushrooms, this means walking in the woods with yours eyes sharply tuned to certain shapes and any shades of color out of the ordinary, though some of the best items blend into the forest floor. We've been harvesting about twenty different types of boletes.
Jesse - cabin fever university……………………………………………..what will become of all this effort? What if I die here?

Jesse - This is the white board at the Celo Community Center, I was there to attend a lecture by Michael Saba about constructing children's hospitals in areas of economic distress, but I thought this more fascinating, white board minutes white board miles.

Soung - Roman as mini-conductor.
Soung - Darren, Chris and I played water-horse with a kiddy basketball and a pink floaty. I tried to create complicated underwater maneuvers to outdo them but I lost anyway.
Soung - David and I make dinner while Darren, Joe, Adrianne and Chris shoot the breeze.
Soung - David teaches Enzo how to play pool.
Soung - David and I drive back a day early so we can stop in Charlottesville and see Vu. We made it in time to have dinner at Zinc which was delicious.
Soung - We picked up a couple of pizzas from Christian's before we left Charlottesville.
Soung - Bergandy was right--the lady at the pet store didn't know what she was talking about. Teddy bear hamsters do have long hair.
