Great "Why?" lyrical snippet that always sparks some vivid
imagery for me: "it's watching your own shadow from a dirt bike"
K and I went to Portland so she could attend a conference-
this was the foyer of the hostel where we stayed
Foliage is happening again! K in front of a mural on Hawthorne Street in Portland
(Wilde's alleged misogyny is not lost on this feminist)
My local "wash and fold" establishment has some nice chairs Judy came down from Olympia, Washington- the three of us palled around
for the day and ended up having a late lunch at the Paradox on Belmont Street
Mary and I were representin' on the streets of mt. vernon
(she looks great but I look like a freak with that expression!)

We rented a car and drove to the Oregon coast on our way to Olympia-
this is the Columbia River as seen from Fort Stevens State Park
Hair & blankets Hiking with Laura, Owen, and Prem in the rain forest on Evergreen's campus in Olympia Yellow walls Picture taken two minutes late in Seattle Leave it to an industrial cleaning supply store to have a great window display! Due to inclement weather, a three hour layover at Chicago's Midway airport turned
into twelve hours of weirdness involving: two tired and satisfied travelers; one lesbian
roadie for Geico; a porcelain-doll restaurant manager going to meet a guy she met
last week for a booty call in DC; a fifty three year old guy who works for the FBI and
knows my parents' best friends; and many, many beers bought from a woman and
her daughter at a place called Let Them Eat Cake
Red tent roof We're home now and happy about the open-window weather Paper companies usually have well-designed sample books I was talking to my mom when my alarm went off and
she suggested that I ask Kim to take my picture
Pasta salad and an homage to some of Michael's
favorite subject matter (photographing food)
A sculpture by a VCU undergrad Chillin' at Mary's piece! Baseball is surprisingly exciting (this was my second game ever) Viewing the motion picture "Hot Fuzz" with Mary = we had some laughs I spent a few years during the mid nineties obsessed with ivy-covered
trees-- an ex girlfriend's street had three at the end of her block, and
after we broke up I looked for similar trees everywhere I went
Sun & leaves on the wall The lane that leads to our apartment My neighbor got a new bike with an animal print on the seat Running to the trees they hoped to go further than they ever had before Warmth The reminder Chandelier in a Mexican restaurant ¡Mí Compañeros! Stephanie/Stephen/Kate/Jason being friends with me at Brewer's Art The visual stimuli in stores can sometimes overwhelm me and make me anxious, when this happens I look up for a respite. Store's like this one make it nearly impossible to not read Egyptian pizza! When I taught photo this was the type of picture I hated- they are too easy to take Mary's coat, shirt, the back of her chair, and peacock feathers At the ATM machine, Kim driving I'm feeling like I don't like having band posters at my place
but this one in paticular is just too gorgeous to remove
Todd and I went to Ipanema for dinner after an afternoon of playing music in Byrd Park Yeah Baltimore I think this is our neighbor Emma's handiwork Jack Nicholson and an actress I don't know in "The King of Marvin Gardens" I am adopting it as my mission to make the intersection
of Main and Granby Streets less grim
Mary is driving us places Yet another picture of a window in our apartment Joe and I ride through suburbia listening to music and talking - a good time was had The Sid I love my mommy! Kim and my dad in my parents' hotel room The boutique beneath my apartment I cooked my first-ever Mother's Day dinner tonight. We had shrimp and grits,
collards and corn. We forgot about the cornbread I had made (this was probably
just as well being that we did have grits and corn-- and how many corn, or corn-like
items can you eat?)
I took a plethora of paint samples from Lowes, I think
I'm going to use them to decorate something
GOEST was the top Richmond writer for over a year, now the most prolific writer
appears to be TONZER (and they just don't get it like I thought GOEST did)
It's fan season again I recently moved the radio in my shop and now it's right above my desk.
The BOPST show and the Thomas Jefferson Hour come in much better now
A nice view of Mary's silhouette and the city from Caolan and Paul's grand apartment Relearning La Gigue du Plateau Mont Royal I just finished riding my bicycle and now I have to carry it up the steps I'd rather be walking
